Through the streets its screamed with pride as the brave men board the trains that will take them away to make history and sacrifices for Great Britain. My name is cadet A. Dennis. I am from remarkably wonderful land called Great Britain. Its 1914, and I have just joined to military because my country needs me even of it means leaving my family at home they promised it would be worth it and in our best interest. The war started over imperialism,need of raw materials, need of goods and economic powers.Also because my country for the longest time had the most powerful navy and Germany thinks they can out glorify us. At the beginning of this war we didn't want any apart of it we were a neutral country, knowing theconsequences since the Slavs assassinated Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria-Hungary and how a full out battle abrupt. We knew everything about this war would be trouble, my countries allies is France and Russia.We and Germany have competed for years on who has the strongest military.Germany attacked Belgium, we together declared war on Germany.We call our self the allie powers (Triple Entente) set off to fight the central powers.

I am now a coronal for Great Britain. They gave me the authority to design a flawless attack plan. Our battle plan is to over come Germany and stop their counter plan to invade Belgium to Paris. We are going to do this by setting up camps of troops in trenches( A long narrow ditch embanked with its own soil and used for concealment and protection in warfare,) armed with machine guns on the out line of France than from there Germany should be too low on supplies and energy therefore we attack with full power and regain back our territory. The propaganda in this poster is aimed to recruit men into joining the British army by slogan, half-truths or lies,emotional symbols, patrioic appeals and emotional appeals.

Today was unusual for the fact that we just were informed that Russia backed out of the war, who would have thought someone on our side backed down. Then again it is Russia they aren't much like us in that way. We also found out the U.S joined the war also set to fight Germany. I think it will be alot easier for us now that we have more help, especially since Russia signed a traty to get out.I know forsure we are going to win the war now "I <3 Britian" on the feild

We are currently on the battle field, it doesn't even feel like Christmas at least without my family.But the strangest thing happened today there was silence around our camp and than all soldiers on both sides joined together and we played soccer and eat chocolate. It was if the war hadn't started and we were all just normal guys. But the normality ended in the morning, when we woke up just as cold as the day before, grabbed our guns and fired as if we didn't know them as people just enemies.

When we found out about the treaty of verseallies all the soldiers around me smiled with excitement because no longer were they suffering now they could return home. Well to what home that was left. Finally we can all return to our families and kids. The treaty was all about outting Germany for fault, making them pay for all the war costs. My country advocated a less severe settlement at Versailles. We wanted a quick recovery from Germany so we could begin trading with them again and the British public opinion expected a harsh settlement. those that have fallen
